It is important to the foundation that we continue to support education about ALS. A part of that education is to provide Pascack Valley seniors with an opportunity to apply for a special award. The application requires interested students to submit an essay answering this question:  Research the "Ice Bucket Challenge".  Tell us why it started and the impact it had.  What other ideas do you have to raise awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)? 

Brody Kidd was the 2026 winner of the Dennis Burke Foundation for ALS Student Scholarship.
