Our Team

I will never forget the day that Dennis and Alissa sat at our kitchen table and told us about Dennis being diagnosed with ALS.  I really did not fully understand the disease back then; we had so many questions with no good answers.  We did our homework and learned a lot; as we watched our dear friend of 25 years go through the next year and a half with positivity, grace, and humor. Dennis was and still is an inspiration to us all.

It was at the Burkes kitchen table that we decided to support Dennis in his desire to start a foundation and have something good come out of this tragedy.  We established a mission and got focused.  That was the beginning.  Today I continue with this work because I know that one day there will be better diagnostics, better treatments, and ultimately a cure.

I have enjoyed time as a volunteer in different capacities in our community through our years living in Hillsdale, NJ. Currently Director of Human Resources for Quest Diagnostics, I bring 35 years of executive leadership experience with a focus on communications, leadership development, project management, budgeting , and employee engagement.
