Our Team
FIGHT ALS. HONOR DENNIS. SUPPORT FAMILIES.
Alissa Burke
PresidentAs President of the Dennis Burke Foundation for ALS, I lead with a mission that is both deeply personal and rooted in my husband Dennis' vision.
After his diagnosis with ALS on June 15, 2023, Dennis was determined that his journey would serve a greater purpose. It was his wish to create a foundation that would support other families facing the realities of this devastating disease.
In the time we had, I witnessed his strength, resilience, and unwavering desire to help others, even as he battled ALS himself. After Dennis passed away on January 27, 2025, I committed to carrying forward the foundation he envisioned— transforming his wish into meaningful action.
Today, my work is guided by both lived experience and Dennis' legacy. I am dedicated to providing support, resources, and a sense of community to families navigating ALS, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and less alone. Through advocacy and outreach, the foundation stands as a continuation of Dennis' compassion, courage, and enduring Impact.
